Hugh Jackman is The Drover, driving cattle in World War II Australia.  When financially strapped Lady Sarah Ashley (Nicole Kidman) comes to Australia to check up on her husband, she finds him dead and herself in need of help running the cattle ranch he left behind, fending off the predations of a rival cattle baron, and dealing with a precocious aboriginal child.  Not to mention the coming Japanese attack.
